“Even bitter poison is okay with a sugar coating ♡” — Punipunidenki’s private EP “SUGAR ALLIANCE”! drops May 7 (Wed)!
ぷにぷに電機がEP『SUGAR同盟』を2025年5月7日（水）にリリースする。本作は「シュガーコーティングすれば苦い毒でも大丈夫♡」をテーマに、たくましく生きるはぐれっ子の"激甘猛毒ボサノバ”「SUGAR同盟」、終わらない旅への祈りを歌う"憂鬱レガート”「第3ユートピアより Private ver.」、解けない糸で結ばれた二人が優雅に沈む"呪怨ワルツ”「湖畔にて」など、ぷにぷに電機が得意とする”ディストピア系ゆるふわジャズ＆ポップス”の3曲を収録。すべての作詞、作曲、編曲をぷにぷに電機が手がけ、ゲストピアニストとしてヤマザキタケルも参加。イラストレーター・漫画家のもけおがジャケットを描きおろしている。
EPは4/27（日）に同人音楽即売会M3にてCDを先行頒布、5/7（水）に各ストリーミングサイトにて配信開始、CDはぷにぷに電機の公式通販ショップやbandcampのほか、全国のCDショップでも販売。
Punipunidenki returns with a brand new EP, SUGAR ALLIANCE, set for digital release on May 7, 2025. Embracing the theme “Even bitter poison is okay with a sugar coating ♡,” this three-track collection dives deep into Punipunidenki’s signature sound—dystopian-flavored, soft-edged jazz and pop with a surreal twist.
The title track “Sugar Alliance” is a hyper-sweet bossa nova anthem for misfits, brimming with venom and charm. “From the 3rd Utopia – Private ver.” offers a melancholic legato prayer for an endless journey, while “By the Lakeside” is a spellbound waltz where two souls bound by unbreakable threads sink gracefully into oblivion.
All lyrics, composition, and arrangements are by Punipunidenki, with guest pianist Takeru Yamazaki adding a lush touch to the sound. The cover art was specially illustrated by artist and manga creator Mokeo.
The CD edition will be available in advance at the M3 doujin music convention on Sunday, April 27, and will later be sold via Punipunidenki’s bandcamp and official online store as well as select CD shops across Japan. Streaming will begin on May 7 via Apple Music, Spotify, and other major platforms.
